Monday of this week I got in an accident in the maro. If you remember last week I told you that my head gaskets were blown in my monte carlo so I was forced to drive my maro. Well on monday on this week I was with my brother on our way to get his 89 t-bird out the shop and I was coming off I475 in Burton, MI. I stopped at the light and there were an white jimmy on my right and a green jeep on my left. the light turned green and we all took off, half way across the street my car hit and I am started spinning in a circle and my airbags were coming out. My car stopped and I was like were that ***** at and I jumped out the car looking for who hit me. To this point I still didnt see who hit me or what kind of car was it. As soon as I got out my car I saw a white mini van over in the grass and started walking towards it cuz I was ready to open a can of whoop ass on somebody but as soon as I took one step I fell to the ground I had a sprang ankle. The driver of the van was a 57 year old white lady and she ran her red light. I was and is still pissed. My car is all ****ed up and it look like shit. She hit me so hard that my battery is in the middle of the car by the fan and when I got out of the car my hood was on the ground next to my car. I will try and post some pictures.

Ah the curse of the fbody crashes is hitting here now. On camarov6.com there have been so many fbody crashes that it is said to currently be a curse to drive an fbody. Hopefully this curse stops before I get mine out for the winter. Geez. People just can't drive nowadays. I am always dodging people and it is rediculous.------------------------------------------

get her info if she blew a red light and the cops write it at her fault you dont have to settle for the 500 her insurance company gives you... just cause michigan is a no fault insurance state doesnt mean that driver isnt at fault... you can sue the shit outta her atleast get blue book value...Originally posted by Frank The TankTook the restrictor plate off to give the Red Dragon a little more juice. I don't know that
I got all of her info and it say right on the report that she ran the light and she is at fault. I thought that I could not sue her if she got insurance?Originally posted by wezelesget her info if she blew a red light and the cops write it at her fault you dont have to settle for the 500 her insurance company gives you... just cause michigan is a no fault insurance state doesnt mean that driver isnt at fault... you can sue the shit outta her atleast get blue book value...

nope you can still take it to small claims court... see your insurance covers so much.. and hers will only give you 500 tops.. in michigan now if the damage is considered "wrecked" and they wann buy it out you only get that 500 from her insurance and whatever yours decides to give you... but if she was at fault in the accident you can get small claims and bust them for up to blue book atleast... ive done it before i had a jimmy a lady plowed into and technically totaled it... so i got 500 from her insurance and 500 from mine being that i only had plpd.. but the car bluebooked at like 2,300 so i took her to small claims for the other 1,300 and sence the ticket said she was at fault i won pretty much hands downOriginally posted by Frank The TankTook the restrictor plate off to give the Red Dragon a little more juice. get a copy of the police report call up her insurance company give them the report number and let them know she was at fault make sure they know your pissed and plan on taking it to court they will bs you a bit but alot of times they will settle for a price with you...get that all straight then call your insurance company and see what they will give you for it if it is totaled, figure out the blue book and file small claims right away i know there is a limited time you have to claim might be 90 days after the accident... or after the claim one or the other.. but then depending where you live it might take a while to even get into court so try to get it straight right away.Originally posted by Frank The TankTook the restrictor plate off to give the Red Dragon a little more juice. just keep all the recipts and insurance info... make sure you contact her insurance comapny first though you might be able to bypass this all together.. just get them to settle... but get the police report, insurance check stub from the 500 bucks they give you if it was wrecked... and info on your insurance claim... get a body shop to estimate the damage to get fixed... keep the estimate.. then go down to your local court house find the small claims office say you want to file a small claims. they will give you the paperwork for it. they will inform her of the case.. then take all the info the insurance paid to you, the damage caused, the police report saying she blew a red light... then take it with you to court and pretty much just tell the judge hey the cars worth this i only got that amount she blew the red light so im sueing her for the rest of the blue book value of my car... should go pretty easy. who knows she might even settle it with you out of court once she gets that paper in the mail just get everything in writting. the police report is the most important thing. you need that for her insurnace company to pay you atleast the 500 bucksOriginally posted by Frank The TankTook the restrictor plate off to give the Red Dragon a little more juice. but aslong as you can get this all organized you should be able to clear it in one court date no problem longest i ever waited was 2 weeks to appear in court for small claims but really depends on the amount of people going through your area too...Originally posted by Frank The TankTook the restrictor plate off to give the Red Dragon a little more juice. i would be too... michigan sucks when it comes to insurance... worst state we pay so much and get nothing outta it when something happens... and its stupid to have full coverage on an older car because you know they wont give you what its worth and by the time somethign does happen you put more money into the insurance to fully cover it then they even give back to you... there are a few loopholes but michigan needs to change the insurance laws quick... i know grandholm was talking about it being we are #3 for prices besides cali and new york and we get scammed the worst when it comes to pay out time...Originally posted by Frank The TankTook the restrictor plate off to give the Red Dragon a little more juice.
