  • My Plans for this Year..

Well, most of you don't really know who I am anyway, but a few of you have seen me. So I'll let ya know what I have done already, first..

I have a black '98 Camaro 3.8 A4. So far, I have a 2.5" Magnaflow Catback Exhaust System installed and a fully customized intake system. In the looks department, I have a billet grille, clear corners (turn signals), black "halo" headlights, carbon aftermarket taillights, silver "Camaro" fill-ins on the back, a custom "3.8L V6" silver vinyl piece under my passenger taillight, and some of the interior pieces are also painted silver.

This year, I'm doing a lot of performance. Sitting in my room to be installed right now is a Corvette Servo (for transmission), TransGo shift kit, 3.73 gears, Zexel-Torsen LSD, and a Comp Cams GT2 camshaft.

So, to compliment these when they get installed, I'm going to also add Pacesetter coated headers, 105 or 130 lb valve springs, new pushrods, modified steel retainers, an alternator rewire kit (from ZZP), a drilled thermostat (180 instead of 195), and a Texas Speed tune. However, I might get P/P heads; I'm not sure if the money will be there or not..

Then, I'm going to buy myself a SS spoiler and get a metallic silver stripe going down the center; see THIS THREAD. Also, I'm probably going to get a carbon "Camaro" plaque for the interior and carbon emblem for the front bumper.. Oh, and I'm going to paint my heads (If I get them Port/Polished), intake manifold, and valve covers black/silver.

So, in other words, I have my work cut out for me tryin' to make money for all this. And I can't wait to show you guys all the mods at some cruises this summer!

Good luck with all that and getting the money for it all. Should be a nice setup. Definitely try and get your heads P&P, that would be sweet.

i know who you are, frank right? you need to get some 1/4 mile times after you get all that stuff done... im curious how quick you can get a 3.8 to run naturally aspirated.

Im also doing some paintwork and headers on my car soon, hopefully ill be getting my SS hood and front bumper redone over break.

Sounds very badass, I was always curious what those lil sixers could put out N/A with a built motor.

Yeah, I've heard one or two and.. yeah.. that's pretty much why I'm camming it. No, but it SHOULD sound mean. And I'll take just about any stock pre-2005 Mustang GT.

take one of those? LOL. ive heard of bolt-on only 3.8s taking those. youll destroy them. Tim's car on here is a bolt-on 3.8 A4 firebird, and he has a video of him walking a GT of that era on gratiot.

Today's the day! I'm starting a little bit until my dad gets home from work (3:30), then we're hitting it hard and trying to get as much done as possible. Hopefully we'll be able to finish up by tomorrow night (we have a full day to work on it tomorrow).

Yeah, if you can get some pics while you do it and the various stages, it always makes for a good use afterwards when you writeup quick explainations of what you did.

ha I got a 180 drilled thermo from ZZP.

I didn't take pics "along the way," but I did take a pic after getting just a few small things out of the way (fans, air intake setup) and another at the end of today (upper/lower intake, valve covers, exhaust manifolds). Those manifolds were *****es!

Tomorrow we're starting again early and going back at it. I think the hardest part is over and now it's time to swap a new cam and valvetrain shit, along with throwin' on the headers..

Oh, and, no, I didn't go with the P&P heads, but I sent in my PCM and it got tuned today. I have to wait for Monday morning to get it back because of the holiday weekend (UPS doesnt send out tomorrow for some reason).

And, one last thing, I got the 32mm front sway bar and bushings in the mail today.

sounds like a good setup, i had a 3.8 FWD Grand Prix GT. ZZP and i go way back to when they first openned with N/A mods. I went 14.4 on stock cam and stock heads. Then did a custom cam(before comp. started doing them) with heads and broke 130lb springs!! think it was the 7000 rpm shifts doing it.Never got everything together on it good so i dumped it. You should be a mid 13 car. good luck!
