Looking at my options and i see there are some options. with longtubes Iv seen that over valvecovers are best option. MSD vs Taylor..... and precut or cut to length? Thanks! Joel will refresh me im sure.

All depends on the individual headers. With my current setup I can't run them all up or all down. 5 & 6 up top & the rest underneath the headers. Kinda sucks, but thats the way it's got to be for me. I've had a heck of a time with burnt boots until I figured things out. I have had the best luck with short plugs, MSD super conductor wires (they have a thick boot) & high temp boot protectors on 5 & 6. But this is for SLP big tube shorties, so it all depends on your individual header & fitment.

What headers are those? They look real nice. I have MSD wires and love them. Nearly 40,000 mile on them and still no issues. The only problem is they are stock length.

OTVC wires are practically a necessity if you plan on changing them at all. I ran stock wires with my headers for a good 8k miles and frankly i almost wished id left them alone...
but you will see my reasoning as soon as you start removing the stock stuff. They practically expect you to pull the engine to replace those damn things. I was literrally ripping my stock wires out because half of the mounts on the lower engine were both rusted and in an impossible location.
I have the Taylor OTVC set which are cut-to-length and include the tool. Installation wasnt bad but i am not impressed by the wires. I think it ran better with the stock AC delcos, and immediately after the install i had a problem with arcing. The wires still arc if i throttle heavily at low RPM (which i pretty much never do so its not an issue).-Joel
