Aftermarket bearings are fine. But stay away from the chinese crap ones. I went through 5 of those on my blazer. Autozone only had those and not Timken's. They had a 1yr warranty and I went through 5 in maybe 4 months. Some didn't even fit, I had problems where my caliper bracket would rub the rotor. So dimensional tolerances were not adhered to on those bearings.

I finally broke down and bought OEM replacements from SPO. Those lasted me 2 years and crapped out this past winter. I now have a set of Timken's on the workbench waiting to go in now. Hopefully those will last longer.

It's a crapshoot with bearings. Yes they are all one assembly which is nice for vehicle manufacturing, but more expensive when it comes to service. But stay away from the chinese knock-offs. The timkens and OEM ones are actually produced by the same company (most of the time) and just packaged in different boxes. So look for those.
