  • Blown Head Gasket

So I blew a head gasket last summer. Immediately after I replaced the water pump, so I had to tear it apart again. That was a bummer. Anyway, here's the block. It looks so small all torn apart.

Wow, looks like you have some work cut out for you.

Hopefully you can get her back together before the Meet 'n' Greet.

I did this work last summer . . . I just found the pictures. This is also when I did the headers and exhaust.

Must be quite a thrill to be torquing head bolts in that environment. I'd much prefer to have it out of the car, regardless of the extra work involved.

I would agree. If I ever have to work that extensively on the motor again, I'll be taking it out.
