I've been having problems with the factory security features not letting my car start. It doesn't happen often, but when it does it makes me late. Anyone ever have any similar troubles or know how to fix it?

No cranking. The fuel system gets shut off. I bypassed the key for ignition when I started having this problem. Now I have a button. There's a little light just to the right of the tach that says "security" if that light is on when I want to start the car, it won't even turn over. The switch I installed turns the starter directly, but whatever security feature turns off the starter also turns off the fuel system.sigpic

I had the key checked at the dealer. They said there was nothing wrong with it. I'm thinking it might be the connections inside the ignition?sigpic

if you do get a new key..use a multimeter to match the resistance..15 different pellets used...you dont want to be stuck with one that wont work
