  • Has anybody shared with me in my problem?

I bought those new Rain-X Latitude wiper blades, and after about an hour to figure out how to finaggle them on so they work and won't fall off (which makes me mad at them for not providing sufficient instructions), I tested them and they didnt even hit my windshield. I have always had problems with my wipers, but these were WAY off. My passengers side was working right, but just the drivers side was going nuts. So in a rage I took them off and thought about the mean letter I wanted to write the fine people at Rain-X, and when my old ones were back on, they did the same thing. So I thought the blade was bad, so I swapped it with the other old one, and it was the same. So in short, after I have wasted all of your time with my lil' rant here, I want to know if anyone has ever had a problem with their wiper arm/blade not making enough contact with the windshield, and perhaps what I could do to correct it, as I'm SOL on ideas...

IDK man, I bought the BOSCH version of those and they work flawlessly, although they were also a pain to get on. Maybe your spring is stretched out or something?

for one. The arms from 93-97 is different from a 98-02 f body. On our cars the arm is weird and goes from underneath. I couldnt figure out how to hook them up either. Tried but failed. If u do find out let me know.

I figured out how... you have to put it on like it would normally go, but then you have to take one of the extra clips they give you and jam it in until it clicks. It's a pain in the ass but if I have free time i'll do a write-up on it with detailed pics

Only thing it could really be is the arm is bent or the spring got too streched out.

My dad has had no luck with Bosch's on his E-150. The Rain-X were the only ones that worked okay on his truck.

My murrays blade on the passenger side doesn't usually like to work - but I don't drive over there, so it's usually not a problem, just kinda bugs me.

Yeah... I wish it was my passenger side that was messed up... It kinda sucks when I have to push down on my wiper while its raining to get it to work halfway decent

This could be it. And sometimes rust will build in between the wiper arm and the mount where it pivots and all you need to do is get some lube in there(wd40 or something) and it will start making contact again.

I buy $7 wipers at Meijer and use RainX wiper fluid, change them about once a year cause the RainX makes it so I don't use them as much. I have bought more expensive ones and had them not be worth a damn or last any longer so cheaper ones work fine for me.
