  • need help phb

    i cant get the bolt out of the phb.... what do you have to do to get it out and what size is the nut 3/4 and 19mm has alittle to much play

    1994 Z28...LT1, A4, Tune up-(2005) w/ MSD 8.5 wires, K&N CAI F2, Hooker exhaust, TB-bypass, clear turning lense's, cat delete/ 3"pipe install, J&M STB,90'degree silicone elbow, Royal Purple oil, MSD-blastercoil, current Miles~[130,000].. hawk pads,performance rotors.url]http://www.myspace.com/camerz2894[/url]

    i just put my adj one on, the nut i think was bigger then the bolt head, but i used a 19 and i think 11/16 or 3/4

    so u can't get the nut loose or the bolt is stuck?

        I agree with Joel, Soak it in some Break away and have a stab at it. If that doesn't work use some heat.

          theyre hardened bolts too so dont be afraid to blast em with a hammer a couple times to break them loose.

            yep.... i couldnt get it... the PH that's on there is bent so i think that had some to do with it .. i tried everything... i couldnt get it hot enough to do anything cutting it was just to much work... w/ sawzal.. and the other side the driver the nut striped couldnt get anything a striper socket to get the nut off no room to hammer just been a long 7 hours trying to do this and gave up

              the bolts rust to the inner sleeve and are nearly impossible to get out.
              if thats the case its easier to cut the bolt between the bracket and PHB on both sides
