  • Heat Shields?

I just removed 4 heat shields from the bottom of my car (painting)... my question is: is the heat shield between the muffler and the gas tank necessary? This is the only one im considering putting back in, the rest are going in the garbage.

I would imagine it helps keep the fuel pump a little bit cooler then it would be without it there.

we had so many hassles getting my heat shields off when putting my spark plugs and supercharger in that half were taken out and never put back as well as one I believe is pinned in there real tight and its not even bolted down shouldnt cause any problems, didnt for me all last fall lol

I would replace the one under the fuel tank. You don't have cats so those ones are worthless.
