had an issue with my car where on fast stops it would sometimes have trouble maintaining an idle. Would drop down to 500 and struggle to keep running but it would never stall. Couldn't be helped with tuning either. A few days ago read a post on Tech by someone who was having similar issues. He had an issue with water in a taillight housing and replaced his taillight and no longer had a problem with his idle. Got me to thinking...... Went to auto parts and bought a pair of brake light bulbs. Put them in yesterday ( also allowed me to remove my dead weight spare and jack). Well, it has fixed my problem. Noticed that the old bulbs were different manufacturer (I might have replaced one way back when). Checked the resistance and one was 1.5 ohms and the other was 4.5 ohms. Hard to believe that little difference in a BRAKE LIGHT bulb can affect how a car runs. Still can't believe this.
