Can a Tech 2 do basic reprogramming, like calibrating for different gears? Or is it just for codes and diagnostics.

no you can not change the programing for gear changes with the tech 2, just normall diagnostics and gm updates, on trucks you can change some tire sizes but not many.sigpic -
The Tech2 is a diagnosis scan tool, doesn't offer many reprogramming features......they are few and far between.2005 Yamaha R6

most tech2 reprogramming is function of the passthru or upload/download from the base computer

you have access to a tech2 but not the computer needed to program the tech2?
