How do I find a v8 rear with 3 channel abs? Any recommendations on a converter? Whats it take to install one, better yet whats it cost, lol.

converter consists of unhooking the trans and swapping it out from underneath. If your buddy has a lift to spare with a tranny jack you will be good to go.

Stalls cost about 500 bucks. I would get a 3000 stall at least to make it worth it. www.abbottracingheads.com have a nice TCI super street fighter stall for like $508 (their website is out of date). My wholesaler currently only has the v8 stalls on hand as the v6 ones are a different size. I need to get with them and get some v6 stalls on the shelf.

Also a tranny cooler is a good idea but not "needed" with a 3000 stall on our cars. Just helps keep things cool. They can range from 40-60 bucks

500 eh, hmmm, with just a stock v6 is it really going to be a noticeable seat of the pants mod? And no my cousin doesnt have a lift, that I know of, I mean theres those at the dealership, but I think then it costs me money at that point. Whats a place normally charge for an install?

How much will the 3.42's kill my gas mileage? I spend about an hour a day on the expressway when I work both jobs.

Shops usually charge around $300 to install a TC. i know that on a v8 they make your car run quicker so im assuming on a v6 they would as well. 3:42s shouldnt significantly affect your gas milage.

I just sold a 3.23 3 channel tonight.
You want a 6 speed axle to get a 3.42

get 3.42s, it will make a difference performance wise and will not hurt gas mileage at all.

yes a stall is gonna help your car out a ton. It drops your 1/4 mile time down by .5 seconds which is like adding 40-50hp really. The first time you hammer it from a dead stop you will understand.

.4-.6 is common drops

Or watch the for sale sections of v6 forums for used ones. I know of a guy who will be selling one this summer when he parts his car out
