  • Security?

    my 99 Z wont start this afternoon

    drove it earlier today but now when i turn it over it just "click" and nothing more

    CHECK GAUGES and ocassionally SECURITY lights are on

    how the heck do i fix this?

    ps the radio is half installed in the car, sitting in pass. seat, maybe thats the problem?

    i also disconnected the battery for 10 min

    put in a fresh battery i already had and this is the first time its ever done this

        Tried another key? If the resistor gets dirty in the key it won't read the right resistance and it won't start. I don't think the radio should have anything to do with it but it only takes like a minute to plug back in and try it.

          radio is all hooked up just didnt know...

          the interior is still all torn apart

          i dont have any other keys, i was searching ls1tech and found out it seems to be a common problem w/ the key so i'll go to a gm dealer tomorrow to get another one made

            I had this problem about a week back, it was a weird short coming from the headlight that caused it
            The Chevy Camaro was built with a single purpose in mind which it executes flawlessly...Going very very fast in a straight line until your hair catches on fire.

              Double check how tight the battery cables are. . . Also, try jumping it unless you are positive that the battery is fully charged.
