Welcome to the Michigan FBody Association website.
The Michigan FBody Association is a centralized website for FBody enthusiasts to discuss what's going on in the Michigan area. MiFbody.com was created to allow for an easy one-stop place to find out what's going on in Michigan as far as FBody events, to find out what clubs are available in your immediate area, and for an easy place to post classifieds for items you want to sell! Our goal was to create a more close-knit community of FBody enthusiasts in the state of Michigan, and to bring Camaro and Firebird enthusiasts alike together for some amazing FBody events!
The most important thing to know about the Michigan FBody Association is that we are NOT a club! The Michigan FBody Association is open to everyone, and is a community. Thus, we will have get togethers, casual cruises, events, and such like that, but this is not an exclusive club and it's 100% free to join this site! So what are you waiting for? Register now!

looking for some ideas on these parts (aftermarket or upgraded GM) to start looking out for and piece together for a future build. Will be a DD (possibly even in the winters) but I dont mind a nice lope or rumble.
so yea tell me which ones will work nice together so i can keep my eyes out for deals
I have heard to stay away from the hot cam. If you want a out of the box cam try a torquer V2, or v3. Pretty good low end torque but still daily drivable. TR 224. MS3. Or you could just get a custom grind.
For DD duty a TR224 is a proven winner
Alot of people shy away from the Hotcam but it is still a good DD friendly cam. I've been looking at DD cams aswell but I'm looking for good power lots of torque and valvespring friendly (meaning I don't want to havbe to swap springs every 20K miles) The GMPP ASA Cam does all the above. It specs out at 226/236 .525/.525 110 LSA and all it requires is the later Blue stripe LS6 valvesprings.

stock rocker arms are fine, reg hardened pushrods, ls2 timing set will do unless you get a huge cam, pick springs based on lift of cam, or just get patriot dual gold springs..cant go wrong, stock lifters are fine, if you need new the ls7 lifters are a good choice. might also want to do a ported ls6 oil pump while your in there. Cam.... pick your poison, on the street i've seen many videos of smaller cam cars taking out bigger cam'd cars. I wouldnt go too big, but you gotta make it worthwhile right
I put Yella terra Rollers on mine, I could tell a diff over stock.. Depends on if you want to spend the dough.. I think when I bought them they were $500( 1 1/2 years ago), I believe they are cheaper now..
the newer yella ultra lites are nice. You have to watch most aftermarkets cause the added weight over the valve tip can and will cause float. With harland sharps on my car it would float the valves at 5300. With stockers on it it hits the 6800limit easy

Hmmm, I've never noticed any.. I don't take mine over 6 grand though(ok maybe 6200)..
I dont care if its lopey as hell but I put 4,000-7,000 miles a month (I drive ALOT in the summer) so reliability is the most important thing I would need as far as daily driving goes, "comfort" isn't a big deal
