    3.90's wouldnt be bad

    i have a 3.90
    in my rear and i really like it

    u gotta think tho with a car your throwing gears in too steep of a gear u can end up shifting in to overdrive (5th)

    but.....theres more to it

      3.90 is weaker than a 4.11 or 3.73, food for thought

        3.90s are NOT weaker than a 4.10 gear in a 7.5" ten bolt. The pinion is larger in diameter and it puts less stress on the teeth. Want to know how I know? 3 sets of 4.10 gears destroyed in my car from racing, so I installed Motive 3.90s. Haven't had a problem since. 3.90s are 43/11, 4.10s are 41/10

            do they make 3.90s? or 4.11? I would go with one of those two since they are stronger

              Motive 3.90s FTW! I know a few people with them putting down 400+ RWHP with no problems.

                I said they were weaker than 4.11s not 4.10s.

                  Well, both...3.90's are stronger than 4.11's or 4.10's

                    nope:

                    4.11 = 37 ring gear teeth / 9 pinion gear teeth
                    3.90 = 39 ring gear teeth / 10 pinion

                        the tooth counts would be the same but it doesnt really make a difference when they are impossible to break anyway lol
