  • Power to Manual?

Do I need new regulators when converting or just the window crank w/ gears?

there are two different regulators (surprised the heck out of me cause ive never seen manual roll ups on a 4th gen) which would lead me to believe youll need more than a handle

thats wierd, i'll get a used setup most likely though...

i want to get rid of power windows, EVERY 4th gen i've owned with power windows has had some sort of issue with them.

I had one w/ manual windows and it was alot nicer

I hated manual windows in my 94 Camaro. Such a pain. I haven't had issues with any of my other F bodies. From what I've read the way they're wired causes them to fry because they don't get the full voltage they need so it causes them to burn out quick. There was a company on LS1tech that was selling a wiring upgrade kit so they got full voltage.

that and its the doors are huge, i've had like 5 motor go, a few switches break, and one get off the track constantly. that wiring kit might be a good investment though

i've owned 5 4th gens and all mine were messed up somehow thats why i just want something simply if i happen to run accross some cheap manual parts for sale
