  • Fuel Pump Bucket

So i got my hotwire kit in the mail, and the new fuel pump is on the way (walbro 255)...and I was reading and it sounds like the buckets are pretty important (as far as cooling the pump goes)

For those running aftermarket fuel pumps, can you modify a stock bucket to work w/ a aftermarket pump?

Problem is i threw out my stock pump long ago so i dont really have one to see if it will work or not, I just clamped my walbro to the stock bracket

I kept my fuel bucket when I did my swap. I didn't have to modify anything, however some cars you have to. If you don't have one I wouldn't worry about it. Just make sure your tank is 1/3 of the way full and it shouldn't be an issue. I run my tank below 1/4 tank frequently so I kept it installed.
