That'll look nice!... i started to wetsand and polish those valve covers some today. the valve covers are casted soooo shitty, that it's impossible to make it all smooth and uniform. so im just tryin to make 'em look a little better.

But yeah. how much did you pick your 90/90 up for? i need to find a deal on that. Then a wet kit! my car should skrrrt pretty good with a little go-go juice running through it's system!...i think i might have to get it tuned again if i spray it. it's like $600 but worth knowing your A/F ratio is perfect. so i don't blow a hole in the top of my pistons!

Yeah you definatly have to do it right with the spray otherwise its new motor. I actually got my FAST 90/90 setup for free (don't tell) or as payment for selling all those parts for my friend. He also gave me a great deal on the heads so trust me I'm really luck this winter. He planned to build up his T/A but was short on cash and is considering buying something else (ZO6) once he gets working again in the spring since his job is seasonal.

damn i need to find a friend like that!... well once it picks up at my work in the spring, and im makin a ton of $$ again, it shouldn't take me long to get that setup on my car. i might just go with the SLP 1.85 rockers too. the possibilities are endless. but if i pay to get my car tuned again. i want to get the most outta it.

Well if you really want to you could use my HPT for a small fee just as long as you don't have it for ever which I'm sure wouldn't happen. I'd have to talk with my friend about it but I'm sure it'd be cool with him.

that would be cool. but i don't know what im doin with a computer...let alone trying to tune my car. i'd rather pay a "professional" to make it work!... last time i went to "wheel 2 wheel" my car was the "slowest" "POS" there... no joke. everything there was turbo...SC....or sprayed...or a combination of spray or turbo or SC! it was crazy!

I should slap the crap outta you for calling any F-Body a POS, let alone a 4th gen SS! I would take it somewhere too, I don't like screwing my computer settings up, I would rather have it done right lol.

seriously nick im not kidding...the owner of W2W walked in the Dyno room and peekin at my engine and was like "ahhh were's the turbo?" it was like he'd never seen a N/A motor...his SS silverado had a turbo and bear brakes... i asked him if all 4 lit 'em up...he said "not really....the chasis just flexes and the right rear spins...and the left front spins"... i was like "WTF!! that is not fair!"

Yeah I have no idea how to tune but my cam is vcery mild and will run off stock tune, or at least thats what they say. I'm just worried about the heads. My friend just installed the sme cam as me so we'll have to find out together and it'll be a hell of a lot cheaper paying $250 for unlimited tunes as pposed to the $500 or so you pay every time at W2W just my opinion but I gotta learn to tune myself. Yeah Matt I feel your pain about the slowest one there lol not to hurt anyones feeling but you'd be surprised what it takes to impress some people (powerwise) go to Texas and tell them a H/C LS1 is fast. They will laugh at you and take off in their daily driven Twin Turbo viper.

yeah no joke. my car was the ONLY N/A CAR THERE! when i was at W2W.
Jeff...what size is your cam again?
cause i have the TR 224/224 and a friend of mine has it too in his 99TA. and he's a cheap ass and has never got his car tuned at all. and he's drove the piss out of his car for a year now, with no tune at all. he also has "some" headwork done. and im just suprised his car still runs because he abuses it a lot. and he's still runnin stock everything computer wise. i'd love to learn to tune and stuff. maybe i will someday. oh would you by chance have that HP tuners next weekend so we could plug it into my car and do the whole gear change thing to correct my speedo? (i hope this damn snow goes away some b4 next weekend!)
but i am always concerned about everything working right. that's why i don't mind the price.

Yeah I should have the HPT next weekend, because I have to delete all my AIR and EGR codes so you could do it then. My cam is 207/220 573/.580 just about the same as the ZO6 but its good for boost and thats where I'll be heading next. Did your friend ever have his car dynoed? Any difference in power untuned I'm sure there was. I just hope I don't struggle with the tune to where I can't drive the car. Yeah if the snow clears and my car is back together its getting insured so lets hope.

no my friend never got the car tuned. but i know with a really good tune you can pick up a good amount of power. when i put my heads on. and my old tune wasn't right at all on the car. i think my baseline HP on the first pull was 375ish RWHP and by the time the tune was over, the most kirk (previous owner of APE and the guy who's tuned my car both times) could squeez outta my car was 388 RWHP. but my timing and everything had already been advanced to hell. i know messing with that will get you some good power.
