if you are on a budget i would advise spending the money on something more useful - difference is minimal. that or you could get a used one like i did.-Joel

well i am going to be starting on my suspencion so i think im gona get it cauz its only 100 bucks, but i have another question, do the bolts have to be torqued to a ceratin pound or can i just tighten it as tight as i can get it and call it good?

there probably is a torque spec, but i just tightened em down. I dont think its a big deal - heres why. Last year when i had it stored for the winter i had my STB off when i was polishing and anondizing it. Well, not having insurance on it, i didnt bother to put the nuts back on, figuring i would have the STB project done by the next time i drove it. Well, we had a really really nice dry day that winter and the car came out briefly to stretch her legs. When i pulled the car back in the garage 15 minutes later i saw the nuts sitting there on the bench. boy did that send a chill down my spine... that couldve been bad had i hit a bump that wouldve taken the weight off the front suspensionOriginally posted by greenmachinewell i am going to be starting on my suspencion so i think im gona get it cauz its only 100 bucks, but i have another question, do the bolts have to be torqued to a ceratin pound or can i just tighten it as tight as i can get it and call it good?

holy shit man that really would've sucked. glad nothing happened!!! I've been thinking about one, but then at the same time I'm like "eh, its just a v6." lol that's just me tho, when i get closer to doing the engine swap, then i'll be looking into a STB.- Brian Meissen

Well if your thinking about getting one an noticing a difference well that is not going to happen. I installed mine knowing it was the cheap start at building my suspension and stiffening the chasis. If you intend on transferring this over to a V8 then I don't think that'll work, aren't they slightly different? At least thats what I thought it said on BMR's site.Doing less with more

it should still work, might make some work a bit harder is all I would think. They don't do much unless you do road racing, then you can see the time improve

Chad. I bought a set of subframe connectors from spohn and they worked wonders! My car is friggin as old as me and it rattled really bad. Now I don't hear a thing. Maybe a thing to invest in instead of the stb?sigpicAnd another thing.....when I gun the motor, I want the whole world to think it's coming to an end.

i just wish i knew some one with a car lift so i could get under this bad boy, i wana do the suspencion and sand down the whole underbelly of the car and put some rust stuff on it so i dont half to worry about rust, thers only one spot that i know of and thats right under my feet, i looked when i took my car in for the breaks

long as you plan on getting them. actually, if you plan on upgrading to a z28 in the future I wouldnt get subframe connectors. They will be about 900 bucks when its all said and done (welding included) and youll have to wave to them with the car when you sell it.Originally posted by greenmachineactually i was planing on getting them after the stb
