go LT1 or LS1??

Alright so im looking for my next f-body and i was thinking LS1 at first but know im not sure, obviously if theres an ls1 i'd get that but i was planing o just not looking at lt1s

so aside from looks do you think its worth it to hold out for an ls1 f-body (mind you for a 19yr old college student lol)

ps. before anyone says or thinks this I've paid for all my cars and trucks (03' ZR2 DD right now) and will be for this one too

gonna have to go with ls1, if you are going with a camaro they are going for dirt cheap all over right now. Im acctually in the process of trying to sell my car right now for an ls1 ta i found.

LT1's aren't bad, especially for a 19 y/o college student. . . I'm a 19 y/o college student, and I have an LT1. Just test drive a couple and see which one you like more.

ive always preferred the look of the LT1, and being only 19 as well, it definitely helped that it was cheaper.

however, lately i have been looking at the ls1 as a better platform. and my most favorite f-body is the LS1 WS6 T/A. just doesnt get any meaner.

go for LS1 if its affordable. like it was said, the camaros are dirt cheap right now. i think the stock ls1 t/a's look too "soft" i guess you could call it. if you can get a stock ls1 t/a and a ws6 hood, youre in business!

Id go for a LS1. There is such a huge difference from the old gen i / ii 's to the gen iii LS1.

Im 18 almost 19 and if I had the money i would upgrade to the ls1...but for right now and probably the next few years ill stick with my lt1.

I'd say ls1 simply because the lt1's are older, and going to have more miles, and start showing problems (bad for college students bank account)

I agree 110% with the stock t/a hoods, but a hood isnt too big of a deal.

for now im going to look for all years but nothing older than 95 (and thats pushing it for me) with lower miles

It just comes down to whats in the best condt. in my price range.

idealy id like to find a stock T/A then just swap the hoods a little after

from an LT1 owner... go for the LS1, however consider good LT1s if you come across them. just dont be surprised if you, well, dont come across any... it took me the better part of 8 months (4 years ago) to find mine.

You get what you pay for, I paid a high price for my LT1 and Ive never regretted it!

I'm 21 and going into my 4th year of college (holy shit, I just realized that) and I'm searching out an LS1 Camaro/TA/Formula. As long as you are looking for an automatic you can get them pretty cheap. Since I'm set on getting an M6 car it bumps the price up a few grand it seems like
