    generator to an alternator

    Ok, I am thinking of changing my generator in my '67 Camaro to an alternator and doing away with the external regulator. Is there a compqany that makes a kit( wiring if needed) for this? Would like to go with a 100+ amp alternator.

    Well this is a single wire alternator and all you need to do is hook up the single positive lead that was hooked up to the generator to the alternator. Then disconnect the external voltage regulator and you are good to go. If you have an ammeter it will no longer work.
