  • Ignition coil mounting?

I've got an oil-filled cylindrical ignition coil. Should I mount it laterally (plug facing sideways) or vertically (plug facing up)? I've heard to mount it laterally or the oil will stay in the bottom and it will overheat but I'm not sure. Anyone who cares to speculate please do.

67 Camaro, mounted on the firewall. Dad fried our old epoxy-filled one when he grounded the remote solenoid to it...

i thought they were supposed to be mounted vertically, plug facing up, but I could be wrong.

just about all of the cylinder style are oil filled. I would stand it up. almost all require a lower voltage too
