Welcome to the Michigan FBody Association website.
The Michigan FBody Association is a centralized website for FBody enthusiasts to discuss what's going on in the Michigan area. MiFbody.com was created to allow for an easy one-stop place to find out what's going on in Michigan as far as FBody events, to find out what clubs are available in your immediate area, and for an easy place to post classifieds for items you want to sell! Our goal was to create a more close-knit community of FBody enthusiasts in the state of Michigan, and to bring Camaro and Firebird enthusiasts alike together for some amazing FBody events!
The most important thing to know about the Michigan FBody Association is that we are NOT a club! The Michigan FBody Association is open to everyone, and is a community. Thus, we will have get togethers, casual cruises, events, and such like that, but this is not an exclusive club and it's 100% free to join this site! So what are you waiting for? Register now!
If you have any problems with the registration process or your account login, please contact us!
What size wheels and tires are you guys running on your First Gen's??
My car came with the steel wheels with GM trim rings and center hub (15 x 8) and it has Hoosier tires (235x60).
If I look at new rims, what is the proper back spacing for the first gen's???

They should be 0 offset with 4.5" BS on an 8" rim, regardless of diameter if you wanted to bump up to 16's, 17's or 18's even.

Everything stated above is the safe way to go. If you want to push it, I THINK (but not 100% sure) that you can put the same on a 1st and 2nd gen. I am running 17x9.5 with 5.5" BS and 285/40/17 tires in the rear and 17x8 with 4.5" BS and 245/45/17 tires in the front. This is about as far as you can push a 2nd gen with stock rear suspension. That is a lot of tire stuffed under the fenderwell with no rubbing.

I'm running 206/65/15s on the front on 15x7 Rallye Wheels. I'm about to go back to 14" Cragar S/S, however, because I just found out I've got a broken belt.
