69 Firebird dash restore

I was thinking about repainting this bezel(see pic). Questions-
-What black paint is recommended?

For silver trim, would model air plane enamel work? A small bottle already has an applicator.

Any other suggestions?

While silver paint looks better than nothing, there's no comparison with real plating.

A fellow on another forum just used this place in Romulus, and the results are very impressive. It's not cheap, but it will look O.E.
