Welcome to the Michigan FBody Association website.
The Michigan FBody Association is a centralized website for FBody enthusiasts to discuss what's going on in the Michigan area. MiFbody.com was created to allow for an easy one-stop place to find out what's going on in Michigan as far as FBody events, to find out what clubs are available in your immediate area, and for an easy place to post classifieds for items you want to sell! Our goal was to create a more close-knit community of FBody enthusiasts in the state of Michigan, and to bring Camaro and Firebird enthusiasts alike together for some amazing FBody events!
The most important thing to know about the Michigan FBody Association is that we are NOT a club! The Michigan FBody Association is open to everyone, and is a community. Thus, we will have get togethers, casual cruises, events, and such like that, but this is not an exclusive club and it's 100% free to join this site! So what are you waiting for? Register now!
If you have any problems with the registration process or your account login, please contact us!
With our economy the way that it is. Is our cars going up or down.
I see in some parts of the country prices do very somewhat.
What do you think your car would sell for. http://www.nadaguides.com/default.as...&z=48382&da=-1

Those prices seem a bit high, but not totally out of the question. I think prices will hold as long as baby boomers are fueling the market for these cars. I think the prices may come down a little in coming years when the boomers start selling off. There will always be a good market for first gens (they're not making them anymore of course ) and there may be a small jump when the 5th gens come out.

Yeah, NADA is usually a bit on the high side, but not much in this case I don't think.
First gens are holding steady right now. The boom seems to be over for huge market gains, but you can probably expect a 5-10% value increase a year going forward.

Southern motors has a 71 Lemans / 70 GTO Judge clone that is frick'n sweet! 455 big block and a 4-speed. They're asking $25900 which seems high for a clone but I guess that's what you pay for a completely restored car no matter what it is. I couldn't justify spending over $30k on a classic, I'd feel guilty driving it.

I was at that dealer once. Real cool inside. They seem nice. I am sure they bump up the price that's the hole idea of a classic car dealership.

I really like Southern Motors...been lurking there for a few years now...the owners are very accessible and their prices are usually pretty reasonable.
I'd buy a car from them.

I hear ya, it's scary to see some of these baskets cases get $5-8K. It puts people like me right out of the game trying to get our hands on a running driveable car.
My opinion is that dealer prices are way too high 32-39K that is crazy. If you search you can find nice 1st gens from about 18k-27k. I spoke to a dealer a few months ago and he said that he can by them all day under 20K nice running cars that need minumun work. He said the over 30K cars are up there because of restoration costs which are getting outrageous.
