  • Why don't you fix your RS Headlight Doors?

Mine worked when I bought the car and then quit working. It drove me nuts! To me it was almost as embarassing as driving around with wrong emblems on the car or like having a new 69 Grille in your car without painting it. The car is just not right! This thread is being made to shame you 1st gen guys into fixing yours, if yours don't work on their own, fix them or have them fixed. I was able to fix mine once I decided I couldn't stand sneaking out to open or close the doors manually. The vacuum operated ones (68-69) are not as hard to tackle as some would think and they make some really cool electronic replacement versions for you non-purests.

I agree. I hate seeing the doors stuck open. Mine doesn't have the RS option, and I would struggle if they did not work properly. I would rather screw them closed, and not drive at night, then have them stuck open. HEE HEE. But then again, I couldn't afford a First Gen with the RS option, so I guess that I am not worthy.......
