IDK B, I think if you don't abuse the clutch a well built manual is just as or more reliable than an automatic IMO. Of course if the clutch is weak to begin with than you may need an upgrade. It's just personal preference, but in a performance car, I'll take a manual all the way if I can help it. Now my DD is a stick, and I enjoy it, but there are times that it can get to be a hassle, usually in stop and go traffic or a backup on the highway.Comment

All performance cars should be manuals IMO
And I have 115K miles on my M6 with the original clutch. It has taken lots of abuse and still works great definetly reliable. Hell even the stock LS1 can break A 4L60E
