Welcome to the Michigan FBody Association website.
The Michigan FBody Association is a centralized website for FBody enthusiasts to discuss what's going on in the Michigan area. MiFbody.com was created to allow for an easy one-stop place to find out what's going on in Michigan as far as FBody events, to find out what clubs are available in your immediate area, and for an easy place to post classifieds for items you want to sell! Our goal was to create a more close-knit community of FBody enthusiasts in the state of Michigan, and to bring Camaro and Firebird enthusiasts alike together for some amazing FBody events!
The most important thing to know about the Michigan FBody Association is that we are NOT a club! The Michigan FBody Association is open to everyone, and is a community. Thus, we will have get togethers, casual cruises, events, and such like that, but this is not an exclusive club and it's 100% free to join this site! So what are you waiting for? Register now!
If you have any problems with the registration process or your account login, please contact us!
They said that the HEmi would be a motor to recon with if it was put in a sports car.
If Dodge does it right I think the new Camaro will have it's hands full!
But I hope they make the Camaro on bad a$$ car!

The coming Challenger is going to put GM and Ford to shame. I have no doubts about it. GM and Ford, GM in particular has always had a problem with holding back because they care too much about what the feds and the tree huggers think. Dodge on the other hand has a history of making a statement. And if history repeat's itself, which I think it will as it usually does, the Challenger is going to put basically anything American in its place and most likely just about anything else that wants to play. If I'm wrong then I will eat my words, but I really dont think thats gonna happen. I have always loved all generations of Camaro/Firebird, until now, the 5th is an imposter in my opinion.
I will admit that I am biased against the new GM, I think the new Camaro as they call it is nothing but a fake and is garbage like pretty much anything else GM is currently producing. The new Challenger WILL be top dog, cause thats the way Dodge wants it.
And as far as our beloved cars standing a chance against the Challenger; I dont think we have a prayer. I think we will all have our ass's handed to us. Except for the few of us who have the knowhow and the money to mod our cars. We are gonna have some big shoes to fill.
ok i gurantee ur statement is dead wrong no way will dodge be top dawg and gm is is making junk? lol i think the zo6 will dog any car out and any car u get
it will have a 425 hp motor that i believe is in the srt8 charger.. 6.1L im pretty sure.. only problem, which is the same as all chrystler/dodges, that thing is going to be a boat probably well over 4000 pds and could probably manage a low 13.

I believe that was the base engine being offered..lol...unlike GM I dont think the Challenger will be offered with anything less than a V8. And the vette; are you serious..bwahahahaaha, not even worth commenting on. Especially considering that a 3rd or 4th gen Camaro or Firebird can EASILY be modded to slaughter a vette. Seems everyone forgets about the 92 Firehawk which put the vette(and many other claimed supercars) to shame in just about any category of performance you could want. It was done then, its being done now by many, and will continue to happen until GM actually makes a Vette thats deserving of being top dawg. Anyway I do have to agree on one aspect. The weight of the Challenger. That will be the only wild card as I see it. But from what I've seen and heard, I dont think it'll be much if any heavier than the Camaro.
Doesn't matter which car is faster in my book....Challenger is just a flat out, bad ass, much better looking car. Besides....who keeps thier car stock?

umm.. yeah the vette is definately the best performance /$ of any supercar and will soon reclaim that title even more..

James, this is just what we talked about the other night! LOL
Granted, the Challenger is a nice looking car, but WAY TOO retro for my tastes. I already lived through the "1970 Challenger Era" once and don't really see why we would want to go there again. I wonder where they can take this design in a couple of years when it gets stale (already stale to me)???
Same goes for the Mustang. Way too retro. What will they do next? Mustang II again?
The thing I like about the Camaro Concept, it that it makes you think of a 1st Gen Camaro, without being too retro. Unlike the other two, there's room to refine and enhance this design.
I think the Camaro will be able to hold it's own with an LS2, but I'm really wanting to see an LS7 option in the Camaro. That would be awesome.
But, everyone is entitled to their own opinions, and styling is a highly personal thing. I guess that's why we all don't have the exact car here on this forum?
RIP Doug,You will always be remembered
