Are you talking about the DOD "Displacement on Demand"? According to everything I've heard and read, you don't even know its there. So the power is literally milliseconds away with a push of the throttle. As long as it works, and saves me gas, I'll take it.

Is that all that you don't like about it?

naw, thats not all that bothers me. just doesnt seem right to do. my biggest issue with it is definitely the way that it looks.

I think that with modern technologies, environmentally friendly, gas sippiing, and ground pounding power is possible from an engine. I don't think there is anything wrong running high 12s and low 13s in a 1/4 mile, getting 29+ mpg on the highway and environmentally friendly is a bad idea.

Naw f**k that if any of these cars come back looking like this I'm disowning GM and buying something foreign. Why do they continue to force cars on us that look like ass-crap?

i doubt it will end up looking like that they seem to let pontiac have there own designs these days kinda like the old days... they might be drawing up these new cars in the same buildings but they do it behind closed doors... GM has learned from the 3 of the same cars for each brand... a.k.a olds bravada, gmc jimmy, chevy blazer..lol they let each brand have its own feel and then dont pop out 10 copies of them with different badges its a waste of money and man power and they finally figured it out..
but pontiac is the "performance" line for gm the vette and camaro are pretty much flag ship cars for Chevy that hopefully will stick around forever, but when it comes to new cars anything even slightly sporty looking seems to pop up from the pontiac brand... im sure they will come out with something other than just the solstic for rwd setup.. and with holden being tossed into the american market some more all the american lines have alot of platforms they can work off of... i doubt it would be right away... they still have to sell off the stock pile of GTO's nobody wants and i bet they will do the same thing as Chevy did and wait a while... look at the hype the camaro is bringing they know the sales are going to be through the roof that first year might even break there capacity to keep up with them... and why because all the enthusiast had to wait 6 years for a model.. i bet your going to see the same thing from pontiac i wouldnt expect a v-8 sports car till atleast 2010 if not later... but pontiac guys arnt as picky as chevy guys they seem to roam within the brand besides the new GTO cough cough holden i pretty much would buy any pontiac on the market they all look nice and its ben my brand of choice for a while.. if they made a factory v-8 solstic i could jump into that. GM has finnaly figured out its brands and markets again and hopefully they will keep business going as good if not better than it has.. id hate to see them demoting down like ford has been.
Its rule of thumb for car companies... they better they sell the more models they can offer so as long as GM keeps up im sure they will have something in the next few years for us.
