          I concur with James.
I like all muscle cars GM or otherwise.
I'm a Chevy person at heart, but that Challenger is definitely C@@L.

Yeah I like the new Challenger better too. But my hard earned money ain't enough to buy either of those cars.

Now they just need to bring back the Baracuda and the TA, and then let the Pony Wars Round 2 begin

The Challenger looks like a Foosed original. It's neat as a one off but as a mass production car I think it will get old quick. I love old Mopars though and my ultimate dream muscle car is a sublime green Hemi Superbird! The Challenger is just too big overall when I saw it at Detroit. Maybe it'll look different when it's out on the streets.

I have to agree with Wade. I had not thought about it looking like a "Foosed" original 1970 Challenger, but I think that pretty much hits it right on the head. Don't get me wrong, it's a very nice looking car, especially appealing to an older buyer, that can remember the original.

But, like the rustang, it's just too retro for me. In three to four years, where do you go with an "update"? I think both companies are locked into their designs, with nowhere to go from here.

I think the Challenger will sell well. Chrysler has done well with their retro designs (PT Cruiser), I just wonder how long the fad will last?

Wade also illuded to it's size. The Challenger will be built on the Chrysler 300 chassis. That's a pretty big car. Bigger than the original?

The thing I like best about the Camaro Concept is that it's style makes you think of a 1st Gen Camaro, but is not so retro to be locked into that whole thing.

At any rate, it will be fun to see the "New Muscle Car Era" unfold. I expect all of these cars will be light years ahead of their respective historical counterparts.
RIP Doug,You will always be remembered

Yeah, the new Challenger is like a duplicate copy of the original, atleast the Camaro is building on something. Of course, these are all preferences and opinions, but hey ya might not like the way the Camaro looks vs the Challenger, but atleast the Camaro will have the HP to blow the doors off the competition.

Actually the 6.1L hemi has 25 more HP, but it weighs more so the camaro is expected to be faster

ya but you know the challenger isnt going to be anywere near the prices of the stangs and camaros... specially with the 6.1 maybe with the 5.7 hemi which will be most likely what most get but still that engine is over rated and a not that impressive for a "hemi" the car itself though i think is great maybe they will just keep poping out a muscle car every couple of years retro style till it gets old... they already know the 4 door charger wasnt a hit... so maybe we will see a roadrunner next or something... who knows as long as they compete the power goes up and the price goes down im happy...

Scott Settlemire stopped by at Auto Europe to chat for a few minutes, I talked to him for a couple about the news about this, he said it was totally coincidental and wasn't really meant to happen and that the war has already started because of it.
