    I'm hoping that's not 30k for a 1LT or LS...

        Not bad - that's what I figured a convertible would start at.

          About $2k more than a V6 stang vert. for comparison but I don't know about standard equipment for each?

            GM has been making the 5th gen a few grand more than the Mustang because they feel it's a little better quality.

              They're thinking, on Autoblog, that lower trim levels won't be available in a convertible. 8k more for a convertible seems a little much for me...

                  I mean, in comparison that is.

                      Quality-wise of the vehicle, they're both very good. Lightyears ahead of the previous generations. But I wouldn't say the Camaro is much better than the Mustang...more standard features, possibly, but even that I don't know how much more it has. I don't consider more airbags a plus, either.

                        Sales race thru August:

                        CAMARO = 60,185
                        MUSTANG = 53,094

                        They could use the vert. and Z-28 sales now to hold the lead, because the new stang V6 and V8 are selling well.

                          I think its for 1lt.....ls is not going to be offered as a vert

                          wish they would have made it closer to mustang price

                            I wish the Challenger would sell better.

                            I have been in many LS's and they are stripped down. Not sure how they say there are more options and that it is "up market".

                            Even the new Mustang 5.0's are incredibly nice.

                            I think the convert and z28 will help GM stay in the lead. Z28 will sell very well for a year, then fall off. Same as the convert.

                            I LOVE the looks of the convert though.
