GM needs to step up their game... Mustang put the Camaro to shame in every category...

They really need to drop like some weight... Who really cares about crash safety.. its a muscle car, not a minivan.

noticed the mustang has a smaller gas tank which helped its weight. I agree camaro needs to shave weight...without the extra pounds it could easily take the mustang with the powertrain it has.

the camaro has only been around for a year, im sure vast improvements are to come. ford can enjoy it while it lasts they will soon find themselves playing catch-up again.

There's been no word about what improvements we'll see for 2011 but I guarantee GM isn't going to just sit there. I'm not going to get all bent out of shape just because the 2011 whooped a 2010... whoopie doo. Wait till GM comes out with the 2011 and then let's look at this again.

Come on guys the bottom line is GM is more interested in sales figures NOT Horsepower.

And don't expect anything new for 2011. 2012 is a different story.

Camaro has a better warranty, though.

The 2011 Mustang is a great machine, can't wait to see what GM has up their sleeve...

GM has their heads somewhere it shouldn't, they should have brought the camaro back around the same time that ford started making the new mustang or at least before the challenger, find some way to make the car more affordable so more people coiuld buy one. We all know that the mustang was outsold 2:1 against the camaro for the majority of their lifetime sales.

I'm no expert but it's obvious that GM should have had better planning, I don't mean to bring down the name at all; I love GM and would never trade my camaro in for a mustang but they should have done things a little differently.

Also if you noticed back in the day it was always the Mustang in first, camaro trailing in second, and Challenger in third place. Today it is the same way and alot of it could be due to the same people that had them in the day own them now. Just a realization to me

Not surprised at all! That Mustang is a bad *****!!!!! Even if it was 2011 vs 2011 it would still smoke the Camaro.

Doesnt matter when you dont need the warranty. People dont doubt Fords, look at the sales numbers.

I know people at GM are much more educated than I am, but 30k for a base SS is insane. I favor a stripper car for 26k. Take a LS and put a LS3 in. Done. Tell the PCM to stop it at 118 and call it a day. Lets GM advertise a lower entry point. BUT, camaro is selling damn well regardless. Camaro is very close to mustang v8 in terms of price now.

IDK about smoke, but the mustang jokes are no longer relevant for new cars at least.

That mustang had a $40k loaded price! and the mustang gearing makes the car move way better as stated in the article. I think with GM already talking redu in 2014 or 15 means this Camaro is not going to change in the next couple years before the switch to the alpha platform.
