Welcome to the Michigan FBody Association website.
The Michigan FBody Association is a centralized website for FBody enthusiasts to discuss what's going on in the Michigan area. MiFbody.com was created to allow for an easy one-stop place to find out what's going on in Michigan as far as FBody events, to find out what clubs are available in your immediate area, and for an easy place to post classifieds for items you want to sell! Our goal was to create a more close-knit community of FBody enthusiasts in the state of Michigan, and to bring Camaro and Firebird enthusiasts alike together for some amazing FBody events!
The most important thing to know about the Michigan FBody Association is that we are NOT a club! The Michigan FBody Association is open to everyone, and is a community. Thus, we will have get togethers, casual cruises, events, and such like that, but this is not an exclusive club and it's 100% free to join this site! So what are you waiting for? Register now!
If you have any problems with the registration process or your account login, please contact us!

Camaro Z28 with LS7 or LS9, hints Al Oppenheiser, Camaro Chief Engineer
And the rumormill churns Just as we finish writing about the masses’ speculation of the LSA engine in the upcoming Camaro Z28, we now read something interesting in the September 09 Super Chevy Magazine issue’s interview with Al Oppenheiser, Chief Vehicle Engineer of the Camaro. In the interview, Mr. Oppenheiser is asked [...]
I was reading about the hennesey (overpriced) ls9. It was awsome. If Gm dosent put the ls9 with forged pistons in the z28, its epic fail. That would be an almost 9 sec car if they can hold the irs together. Just my .02
1997 Camaro SS #2819 M6, Red, 3.42, 1 of 27, Ttops, BBK shorty headers, Flowmaster cat back, 1.6 rr, LT4 valve springs, ASAM CAI, Centerforce clutch, runs 12s, breaks 10 bolts. http://s602.photobucket.com/albums/t...20Camaro%20SS/

Dude, LSA and LS9 are so close. Besides, ZR1 MUST be top dog.
The biggest fail in camaro motors in the past 25 years has been cast or hypertecnic pistons, gt500s get forged internals, so should the z28. I see those two cars being direct competition, and that forged pistons should go in it. JMHO though. IIRC the caddy dosent have forged pistons does it? But I do see the point of the zr1, the vette guys are kinda sensitive. Eric L

That car is sweet, but 1 pass is a lot differant than a warrenty to keep, and 10 years of reliable service. We are now at a point with new "super" cars where we have to balance power with durability and price. Dont get me wrong, im not knocking any manufacture, i dont envy them, they have big shoes to fill, always making the next car beter and faster and more fuel efficent than the one before it. But I would still like to see a strong bottom end and block. Eric L

They've probably been manufacturing the F-bodies without forged internals because it sees no boost from the factory. They also must figure that most of the people they sell their cars to do not get modified enough to need it, and the forged internals would just be overkill. The GT500 and the ZR1 however, do see boost.
And that ZO6 is amazing. I can't wait to get one of those in my car...only 6 or 7 more years.
