  • My LLT really LOVES cold air!

We all know cooler air in denser and results in better performance... but for some reason it seems to me the LLT responds to cool air more than any of my previous cars.... My previous 0-60 testing yielded 6.0 seconds, just like the magazines... but that was on warm days, not hot but warm with the inlet temps in the 80s...

Well, this morning I noticed my inlet temps were only 54 degrees!!! SO I thought, what the heck! I did another 0-60 test and...

    Little more info at: http://v6john.com/index.php/performance/52-0to60

was the 6 sec. tests before or after your exhaust work?

If after then that is a nice bonus of power

Actually the 6 seconds was before and after the exhaust! When I dyno'ed the car after the exhaust work the dyno showed minimal gains in the mid-range RPMs and basically nothing at peak...

I really think the LLT ECU starts pulling timing very early when the inlet temps start climbing.. some where I think I read once the IAT get to like 88 degrees it's start pulling back the timing... So a cold morning like to day is a double bonus! Better air and the ECU keeps the timing up!
