  • First pics of 2010 Camaro backup sensors

A member has now shared these first photos of the sensors installed [...]

Not too bad - they better not be standard.

I always wondered if those little things where sensors. My bosses van hates those and he didn't tell me how to turn them off till I got back. Man that was annoying!

Good god, I hope not - that's not something I'd want to pay for and have ugly up my car!!!

But it looks like you're right - that's a terrible decision!

Hey! As if the car doesn't weigh enough, lets put more shit on it, make it cost more and ugly it up.

Yeah I'm pretty sure what I wrote above is correct. Also, MSRP is now $250 higher because of it...

But yeah - sad to see that it's standard but what can you expect when you're trying to please the majority not the purists.

Shouldnt the 1SS be a Z28 then? Seems like they are loading the 2SS up with all the goods. 1SS might actually be faster if they keep doing this.

There had to have been a better location for them. Why not under the bumper or in the license plate well? Then they could just angle them upwards.

                      Used to own a Firebird.

they would not work angled.....im sure the engineers had a reason to put them where they are.

it is always a constant battle between styling and engineering. i know this first hand because my dad works in gm styling while my mom works as an engineer......it's all tradeoffs, sensors that look better vs sensors that work better.

I just think these shouldn't be standard. The option is great, but not everyone wants these on their car and having to pay for what they don't want...
