So basically they did a bunch of exterior mods that TONS of people have already done (IE... bumblebee painted stripes, SS logo on side under "camaro", painted rear panel between tail lights...), slapped a S/C (also has been done how many times Brian ), and some wheels and springs. It's cool I guess, but I expected much more, especially for 20k. Haha

haha, sameeee here. I didn't want to be a downer but I saw it and said Oh, ok. If I wanted a 5th Gen I'd buy one and mod it however I want for much cheaper. You are paying for the name as well. Its just that with so many companies trying to get a piece of the pie, the Berger name is the pretty much only thing that differentiates this car from many others..

Honestly, I'm a little torn between. While I'm a little disappointed that there isn't too much done to it, I understand the necessity for the specific supercharger since it's being sold as a brand new vehicle and has to be within EPA limits and what not. That said, I sincerely think 20k for what you get is worth it... if you paid for anyone else to do all that, I would imagine it'd cost over 20k.

Not to start a war... but I would disagree with you there and Agree with Derek. You are paying for "By Berger". Don't get me wrong, it's a nice car, but nothing special really...

Custom painted stripes, rear fascia, a custom grill insert, custom rims, and a supercharger + labor for install? I'd reckon that'd cost 20k or pretty close to it..

2000 for paint work - custom stripes, rear fascia, grill area... I was quoted 700 just to have the stripes on my hatch and stock spoiler painted by a local paint shop. Those jobs ain't cheap.
500 for the custom grill (comparing the phantom grill posted last week on camaro5 was 550)
3000 for the wheels alone on the low side - the USED listings for the same brand 3 piece forged wheels are 2500+
500 for the tires (those are big tires...)
5000 for the supercharger from what I found doing google searches for the same kit
                      500 for the supercharged tune
150 for the floor mats (a good Lloyd set [i think that's the brand I bought?] will go for about that)

That's 12,350 and that's not including the labor for the install, the suspension changes with progressive rate springs, rod and rear subframe bushings, car cover, and all the little emblems that they do. The 12,350 only leaves 7,550 left for the rest of what I mentioned. I think labor would be atleast a couple grand for the supercharger install, suspension changes, and the bushing installs... it is a dealership afterall. So yes, you're paying some for the name (for the "by Berger" emblems) but you're also paying for the retro emblem for the grill and SS emblem on the fender.

Come on, guys, you need to be realistic. Berger isn't business to give this stuff away, either. They need to at least make a couple bucks on this package, or they wouldn't stay in business very long. They will be several thousand dollars cheaper than an equivalent package from every other "tuner shop".

Brian is right, those Forgeline Wheels are not cheap.
