Wednesday Night Pedders Camaro Build Status

Pete just got back from the shop. The guys are still hard at it in large part because of some back luck and issues with part fitment. When doing a final buffing after full body wet sand, the buffer pad got caught in the hole for the side view mirror. This oops is being corrected by reshooting the door. We all thought we had the interior door panels correctly taped so the LED lighting would still be 100% functional. What we have is maybe 2% function. Once again, no real problem here it just takes time. They have already ordered two new inserts and will have them perfectly finished next week.

The hood has been a challenge. Something changed from plug to splash for the bottom of the hood. The top skin is production perfect ready. They devised a plan for the weekend show and sacrificed my OEM hood making it a donor for the new skin. This took hours we just didn't have. What it means is the crew at Essex is burning serious hours until the car id done. We'll have it trailered to Witt Pedders Buick for the suspension work in the morning.

Thursday is headers, suspension wheels and tires.

Friday is finishing anything we missed on Thursday as well as the new exhaust,

Friday night it is time to cruise 28th Street!

Monday we'll continue to finish up development of more revolution accessories as well as anything we missed to make the show. Pete really hates to have a car that isn't finished and isn't perfect, but he understands the challenges of developing new accessories and really enjoys working with skilled people. Pete and I learn more on every build from the people we work with. That is one of the great things about big builds ñ the people involved. We learn more every time we test at a track. It is one of the reasons we build and personally track all these cars. We want to live with them and not just sell parts for them.

Pete is driving out and will be doing 2 certification Camaros on Friday, Sept. 18th. If you are interested in what is involved in a upgrade, come on in and watch the installs. We will be offering our Pedders free 28 point inspections, and 10% off Pedders parts and 10% OFF install labor performed or ordered with deposit on that day.

Now this is not an ordinary Pedders Day. Sellers is known for their annual car show, which coincides with the Pedders Day. The car show portion runs 8am-3pm with registration from 8am to 11am and we’d like to host the Pedders Portion from 11am to 3pm. Sellers will be offering food to Pedders Day participants in the form of vouchers to our car show food vendors as well.

Now as a real special treat, Pete will have the new Pedders Revolution Camaro there for your inspection. This is the best handling Camaro in the USA and we will prove it. Some of the specs we cannot list yet due to magazine committments. But she is seriously fast, and the limits of this Camaro cannot be reached on very aggressive street driving.

                  Here are some pictures:

Now I cannot promise this, but I am sure it would not take much to get Pete to show off his Camaro to some of you. This Camaro is SERIOUSLY unique, and everything on the Pedders Camaro will be available for sale by Pedders.

Now Sellers is noted for their awesome car shows and are a huge event. Seeing all the cool rides is worth the travel alone.

If you have any questions Chris White would be the best person to ask.

                  thanks

Darn - would love to see the car... was bummed when it wasn't at the Berger Show as I was really looking forward to seeing all the aftermarket 5th gens that were talking about being there... I think Berger's was the only one there - all the other companies didn't show up.

I seen another company's there that had a supercharger on it. The name escapes me right now but they dyno charts and everything. Unless the guy just liked advertising for the company.
