  • Looking for a Metro-Detroit SS for exhaust test...

    Ok... be gentle guys...

My friend owns a performance shop in Plymouth.... He is looking to try out the axle back we developed on my 2LT on an SS...

    http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=31844

As a favor to him, I said I would ask if anyone in the area would like to test it out... So if you are interested PM me some contact info and I will pass it along...

    Thanks guys!

Basically, like all the axle back kits, you have to cut the stock mufflers out. Here's a picture of mine. You can see where the pipe was cut.

We built this a prototype... hence the ugly clamp... LOL!

If you would like to PM me some contact info, i can pass it along to the shop owner and he can explain the detail much better than me..

      thanks!!!

I guess I'm wondering if you tried a straight pipe instead on resonators first and if it would have sounded deeper.

we tried the straight through... but on the V6 it was HORRIBLE! LOL! We tried few other mufflers and resonators.... this setup gave us the best sound....
