      i wonder what effects it has on back pressure?

              thats what i was thinking - i know a lot of people did this on their GTO's and began experiencing premature Cat failures that weren't covered under warranty

                Changing exhaust should not void the warranty.

                But that is 100x improved...no doubt...

                        thats actually what im talking about - removal of the mufflers will void your emissions warranty on the cats and subsequently if the cats go full failure and create a blow back situation they could smoke the motor & it will not have coverage either at that point

                        removal of cats also would void your engine warranty
