The hood matches that of the new Bumblebee Camaro, which has been referenced as the Camaro Z28 hood. An extreme zoom on the emblem [...]

I think they would do better to make a light weight super striped version and call it whatever.

Adding a hood and calling it a Z28 is so SLPish.

you didnt notice the front bumper?

after hearing the transformers car being referenced as a "Z28" this is pretty much exactly what i expected of it.

I knew from the get go that the new Bumble Bee was referencing the new Z28 - they just hadn't announced it yet. Where would they have gotten the idea to change the looks of the car? Why, GM themselves, that's where. And I bet 100% they were planning to coincide the release of Transformers 2 with the Z28 model.

                  That's a very old pic.

They have had full size clays of the Z28, and have had them for a couple of years...

And did I hear that they will be releasing a very limited number of "Bumble Bee" edition cars? Like 100 or so?

Not necessarily - Sure all we can see aesthetically is hood and bumper changes but we have no idea what's under the skin in the engine bay...

Yessir - Bumble Bee / Transformers edition. Including Transformer logos in various areas of the car - headrests, door sills, etc. Sadly, though, it's still just the same Rally Yellow - not the true Bumble Bee yellow from the movie car.

If the SS is making 426 and the Z28 is the upgraded model... I think 500+ is almost a given.

That is, if things were different and GM wasn't in the situation that it's in now.

Sadly this is the reason I think it's going to be little more than a re-badged 2SS with some extra tupperware

I'd rather them not bring it out at all than bring out a rebadged 2SS. Then again, the 4th gen SS was nothing more than a rebadged Z28 with new hood and spoiler.

They could essntially add a hood and front and rear asthetics. include some interior appointments and upgrade the suspension and wheels.

Even without the LSA engine I think it would sell.
