Front GFX Design

Anyone wanna do some digging for me?

As many of you know, the front GFX on the camaro came loose. It dragged for miles and wore through. The design of the piece is very poor as far as how it is attached to the car. I met another 2010 SS owner last night who ordered his GFX, but has not had them installed yet. He said his are the "new design" which fixes this problem. Many other people have had this same problem as I have. The part was, as far as I can tell. Installed to GM specs by the dealership. Well that's fine and dandy but there is still a problem and it needs to be fixed. So the point of all this is I am trying to find out some more info about this "re-designed" front GFX piece.

Anyone know any helpful information?

oh jeez, they seriously cant even design a front ground f/x right to stay on correctly? its a darn shame considering how much those pieces probably cost. The warranty doesnt cover something like that that cannot even stay on the car for the one month you've owned it? I know my old firebird w68 ground f/x were a cool 1800 bucks to replace from the stealership

Sarcasm or no? I can't tell? And if that isn't covered under warranty, I would be ripping someone a new one for sure. That sucks dude. Is it still gonna be at the meet and greet?

I'll try to take a look into it but if what your are saying is true and there is a "new design" put out by GM, warranty will defiantly cover that. I looked on GM Service Information (basically a constant updating elec shop manual for all cars and updates on bulletins and recalls) and couldn't find any open campaigns about the front GFX.

No it wasn't sarcasm. They are acting like it's the best one they've seen yet.

Thanks man. I appreciate the effort. I think this guy may have been misinformed. However, if you look on Camaro5 in my thread there, someone posted up a thread from another guy having this problem and several others are also. Hopefully it is enough to get this fixed ASAP.

When I read through the installation manual it looked as though it was installed correctly. However... All of the adhesive was only attached to the GFX piece and barely any to the fascia... not good. I'm thinkin' it wasn't installed properly still - Specifically the adhesive along the front lip.

The piece I have has rivets along the back edge, but along the front lip it is only held on with 3M double stick tape. I will try to get pictures of it up tonight.
