Fun morning

I got up close and personal with #8, #355 & #371

#8 1LT Aqua Blue Metallic (which is my new favorite color!!!!) v6 base package built 01.20.09 (in case anyone cares #1 was built this same day)

#355 2SS Silver Ice Metallic 6.2L loaded built 02.27.09

#371 2LT Silver Ice Metallic v6 w/ RS pkg including LPO optional 21" wheels built 02.26.09

some notes of interest:

all 3 were pre-production units (OAR - ID PRE-PRODUCTION) which would mean that they technically they would be destroyed at some point, so i asked the obvious question "how did they handle the top 5?", essentially i was told they held the 1st 5 vins and built them later after the bugs were worked out, Ive since found that gmvis tells a different story and that they were built on 01.20.09 and that they are also coded (OAR - ID PRE-PRODUCTION)???? so who the hell knows.

the vert is definitely on hold (as is the Z28)

the fit and trim on these vehicles is AMAZING!!!! as are the body lines - 165* single side unit stamping

tire to wheel well height ratios are the same on all factory wheel pkgs

they actually have a usable trunk

the ambient door lighting is very cool (and if you order the orange interior it will be red lighting)

There will not be a seperate RS tagging on the RS/SS models, but instead the color of the SS emblems will be changed from white to red.

yep - it was a touch and feel event not a ride and drive - but were getting our first order unit in the next couple days so ill driving one then 2SS
