Yeah - most likely - they're obviously not there.

That doesnt mean anything. SN95 mustangs had rolldown rear windows on their verts (while coupe's had the fixed windows). I think the newer ones did too but im not absolutely sure.

              well looky what i found

The convertible also has left rear and right rear power window motors which are controlled by the switches on the driver window switch. When the left rear or right rear switch is used, a serial data message is sent to the BCM requesting rear window opeation. In response, the BCM will send a serial data message to the appropriate rear window motor to move in the direction commanded. There are no rear window switches. The BCM may also globally command all windows to lower in response to a convertible top retract command.

Interesting use of technology, but it sounds like something id rather control individually. will have to see. or maybe its just saying there are no back seat switches?

ive been getting mixed responses - i posted awhile ago the gm pdi form that lists a vert and this is from gm's service information system - but this is the one and only blurb on there at this time

hopefully the picture above isnt just a proto

Sounds like a mixture of two things, hard to tell. 1 part definitely says that there's no back seat switches, but the other part makes it sound like you have a really limited amount of control over when the windows go up and down. But then there's the whole - why would they put window motors in there and not allow us to roll the windows down whenever we want? I'm sure it won't be as complicated as the bulletin makes it sound.

Babe didn't you listen to them at the Cleveland Auto Show? John was asked about the 'vert and he said it will be out a year after the coupe comes out. It sounds like the Camaro convertible is almost a 100% sure thing as long as GM survives that long.

I know this is beating a dead horse, but how is a convertable safer than a coupe with T Tops?

Are they in different classes? How is the Solstice Coupe hardtop able to be made(basically TTops without the Tbar.) and we cant have T Tops on the Camaro?
