The Michigan FBody Association is a centralized website for FBody enthusiasts to discuss what's going on in the Michigan area. MiFbody.com was created to allow for an easy one-stop place to find out what's going on in Michigan as far as FBody events, to find out what clubs are available in your immediate area, and for an easy place to post classifieds for items you want to sell! Our goal was to create a more close-knit community of FBody enthusiasts in the state of Michigan, and to bring Camaro and Firebird enthusiasts alike together for some amazing FBody events!
The most important thing to know about the Michigan FBody Association is that we are NOT a club! The Michigan FBody Association is open to everyone, and is a community. todd you may know better than anyone. never thought to ask before. my dad went to the chevy dealership two or three weeks ago to order a camaro. he walked away with nothing. the dealer said only v6 cars could be ordered right now. is there any truth to this or was the guy an idiot? i would think GM would take any money they can get right now and my dad was fully prepared to order a optioned out v8 car and put a deposit down.
It sounds like the guy at that dealer has been poisoned with the misinformation that's floating around right now. GM is pushing v6 production (they didn't say FIRST) as a priority because they want to get 1 v6 Camaro as stock for every dealership nation wide. He probably thought they meant you could only order v6s.
the saleperson(or sales manager) is either lazy or misinformed
you CAN currently order any matrixed (optioned) Camaro HT and GM's order bank is now accepting them, the only ones that are not being accepted at this time are the verts.
The big confusion right now is that not all pricing is currently available causing some vehicles to be ordered based on estimated pricing (this does not mean they are not being built in the order received, it just means the pricing may be slightly higher or lower once it's stickered.
We currently have appx 20 units on order for customers and all have cleared the order bank. Of those 18 are v8's.

awesome thanks todd and brian! i'll give my dad a call in a few and tell him to get down to the dealership today hopefully. maybe i'll be bringing two cars to the M&G
If he's just now putting an order in, I hate to say it but I can almost guarantee you won't be seeing it till the end of the year or next year unless that dealership doesn't have any other orders already.
