8:20 isn't bad! According to the lap times on Wikipedia, that's 2 seconds faster than the 2008 Cobalt SS and the Nissan Skyline GT-R R32.

That's the same time as the Audi RS6, BMW M3 E36, and the Porche 993 GT3.

I think its a decent time but not what I was expecting. 2 seconds faster than a cobalt? I love the cobalts...but for the amount of money put into the Camaro I hoped for more. Perhaps a LS9 powered Z28 could get it closer to 8.

Consider where the time puts the Camaro - as fast as a Porsche GT3.

GT3 is 8:03....

the new M3( with a 4l v8) did it in 8:05, I expected something closer to this although it wasnt a professional driver was it?

yeah considering the ring is a power track and not as much handling, must not be able to take thoes corners after the straights very quick...or the driver just didn't have balls.

Actually, we should be taking the comments as disturbing.

It's going to be the non-Camaro people that need to be enticed to buy one to make it successful.

If non-Camaro people don't like it, it could be signifying a real problem.
