Welcome to the Michigan FBody Association website.
The Michigan FBody Association is a centralized website for FBody enthusiasts to discuss what's going on in the Michigan area. MiFbody.com was created to allow for an easy one-stop place to find out what's going on in Michigan as far as FBody events, to find out what clubs are available in your immediate area, and for an easy place to post classifieds for items you want to sell! Our goal was to create a more close-knit community of FBody enthusiasts in the state of Michigan, and to bring Camaro and Firebird enthusiasts alike together for some amazing FBody events!
The most important thing to know about the Michigan FBody Association is that we are NOT a club! The Michigan FBody Association is open to everyone, and is a community. Thus, we will have get togethers, casual cruises, events, and such like that, but this is not an exclusive club and it's 100% free to join this site! So what are you waiting for? Register now!
If you have any problems with the registration process or your account login, please contact us!
I posted this on another site -- and I'll post it here.
I am not doubting that Jim got a telephone call from someone -- but I don't know who that is -- and rumors are running rampant here in the Motor City right now -- so --if it makes you feel better -- send a note as SuperChevy is asking you to do ---
now -- that said: without further ado:
"...........Articles like this really put me up the wall -- past the pictures -- and on to the ceiling.
The Camaro (and Z28) is not Dead.
(......in my opinion, there are some in the enthusiast community that hope it does die -- esp. on certain sites -- and that confounds me........not to mention giving a dangerous boost to my blood pressure......)
I don't know how these things get life -- but let me assure EVERYONE -- that every car and truck program out there is on the table right now -- and I think I can safely say that this is the case at the other two American manufacturers -- all one has to do is to look at what's happening to new vehicle sales -- coupled with the housing meltdown -- the budget deficit -- the elections -- the Dow Jones Industrials down by a breathtaking amount -- and of course, high energy costs that are forcing the price of everything upward................
Let us take a quick walk down memory lane - shall we?
The year is 1979 -- interest rates are double digit -- energy costs and inflation are spiraling out of control.......people are "upside down" on their loans for pickups and large cars................
.....................and yet Chevrolet somehow sold 282,000 Camaros -- TEN years into a lifecycle.
Yes -- the times are different -- but I'm betting that when people see the production car -- they see the value that the car offers -- and they see the fuel economy -- we'll sell a lot of 'em.
........I said a long time ago "Have Faith" -- and that's what I'm saying once again.

The year is 2008...and GM is bleeding $6 billion a year in losses.
The year is 2008...and at the end of the year GM is no longer the #1 automaker in the world.
I, for one, tire of these borderline pseudo-religious responses to reality.
Will the Camaro be produced?
Yes.
Will it be successful?
I think likely.
But please, PLEASE, spare us the emotional mantra that ranks right up there with Sunni chanting being broadcast from high power speakers in mosques. This is one of most pathetic statements I've ever seen from a ranking member of the executive GM community.
I see a desperate plea to the Camaro's core fan base to not panic.
It is in fact, a sign that people should panic.
This statement contains (yet again) zero facts and disrespects the community that does understand what is going on with the industry.
For a platform that was "unmasked" by taking the camo off the mule cars months ago, the mother company has refused to confirm any actual effing details of what will be released.
It is again indicitive of GM half-assing yet another program.
CAN the Camaro be cancelled?
Abso-damn-lutely.
Just as quickly as GM lays off it's next 30,000 blue collar and 10,000 white collar workers.
But they have too much invested...it will see the light of day. Maybe not in the form we want or wish it to, but it will.
Statements like this are completely unnescessary...unless there really is a vein of truth behind them.
Statements like this only appeal to sheep...people that need to be led and convinced that the product is good before it even gets released.
Let the product stand for itself.
Because if all you're looking for is sheep...the Camaro will fail.

I think it is because I take it in and out all the time, the rubber has just stretched out, especially at the bottom where it is really thin. It annoys me more then anything.
