Looks like there's a weee bit of 2nd gen in there too....with the pointed grill and all. I don't know about the whole "new age giant tire and rim" syndrome.....hopefully prices on obscene sizes will come down with popularity.

17" tires for the Implalas of the mid 90's were expensive enough, that's for sure....not to be stuck on any certain issue

I like it. Hopefully it looks the same in person, the charger in person looks huge (I pass one every day on my way to work, it's slow as hell)

Rumors are a 400hp LS2. Gotta keep in mind, it's a tradition for the v8 Camaro to have the base Corvette engine, "detuned" and underrated HP wise, but literally the same engine... they just mark it down so the corvette guys don't get their panties in a huff.

i heard it was the 425 hp ls2 same as what was in the newest model GTO but if they arnt making it till 2007-8 i would think that would be more to compete with the new cobra... they havent been outdone by ford power wise in over 20 years on the pony car race... i mean they have always been close but for the top power model gm has always beat them.

If it comes out with a 400hp LS2 I'm going to be so ****in pissed. My car might be close to being done at that point and the loss in power to go to that would totally turn me off from buying one. Either that or I'll buy it and tear it straight apart and build it up hardcore. Better be able to back that car up with some nicer numbers, especially by 2008/9.

For those that don't visit SLP's site; the vice president of the club said that the ball has started rolling on the Camaro and that the development process has already begun. While this isn't new news, it's still great confirmation to hear!
