Yes, all payments are due at the time we shoot it.
I spend Sunday night after we get home and Monday getting all the shots ready for the lab. Making sure the lighting and contrast and set up looks the way I want. Just generally making the shot look it's best. Then I take them to the lab. The lab takes about a week. As soon as I pick them up they go in the mail to you. By me taking the time to set everything up on the PC and by using a real lab you get a much better quality print than some of the shoot, print and "here you are" places.
Things are different for a true Showboard and of course more expensive. For a showboard I require 50% payment up front then we email back and forth and you get to see exactly what you are paying for. When you are completely happy, I take it to the lab for printing. I usually have 6-8 hours tied up in each Showboard. The remaining 50% is due on delivery.
