Actually I was pretty much ready to fly damn near anywhere to get one. Because I was so picky with what I wanted and my fairly limited budget, I knew the chances of me finding "my" car anywhere near here were slim to none. Fortunately I have a friend who works at the Kalamazoo Airport and got me tickets to Des Moines for a mere $30. I was ready to fly to Florida a few weeks ago for one as well, but that one fell through. I'm happy with this one though.

Nah, I my car is always in the garage unless I'm driving it. I may end up driving the S10 I just bought this winter. It's a 2.8L now but I've got a 305 just asking to be tossed in. Sucks in the TA but will make an S10 boogy!

You know how hard it is to have a V8 in your garage and an S10 next to it and still keep the S10 a V6?!?!?!?!

Almost.... my cousin had the vortec 350 from a '96 silverado that would have been a easy swap for the 4.3 in my '97 s10. i was so tempted to do it

just to let you know all 98+ had the same springs except for 1le's and SS's with the optional slp suspension
