Why are power antennas a pain? I am curious since i did not know that they had problems.

I don't like them because after a while they tend to stick and not want to go down, or the motor burns out or the track inside that it pulls it down with strips out or breaks. I just remember my parents having tons of problems with them on the different Cadillacs they had when I was a kid. I prefer the look of a solid mount shorty.

id agree with everything but the rs badges.. not all 4th gen 6ers are rs's, the rs was actually pretty rare and had a different body kit

SLP did an RS package that didn't have ground effects and just had badging, stripes and a different intake and exhaust on it. The factory RS package was only from 96-99 if I remember right.

I can only imagine what your repaint cost you! I went to buy a pint yesterday at Painters Supply so I can touch up some spots on it and for PPG it was $86 a PINT!!! I went with the Omni brand since it was $24 for a pint.

Yeah, all the touch up body work, and repainting cost about $2500. I think that paint is even more expensive than the red.

Wade i got a head light would look better than the one on it and have all 4 clear lights here at the house for it.

GM's RS package ended in 97, and they all came with the badging, gfx, and such.

SLP's RS was only in 2001-2002 and it also had the gfx, and about 500 were made supposedly for each of the years.

Your car is the base model v6 camaro, not an RS at all. Would be a poser with badges.

SLP's package did NOT have ground effects, only a grill, stripes, RS badging, Z28 exhaust and optional Z28 swaybars. People fake SS' all the time, who, besides me, is dumb enough to fake an RS? I have the 2002 SLP Camaro RS PDF but can't attach it since the PDF limit is only 19.5KB and the file is 234KB

I thought you gave your headlights to Chris? If you have the right side I'll take that. I already ordered a set of clears for the front. I didn't even think about you replacing yours with black ones. I might be interested in the rears though. I'm not sure how they'll look on this color. I was considering tinting them like your taillights.

looks like you got a nice daily driver wade. looks good. must be nice owning 3 f bodies. I almost picked up a 3rd gen a couple weeks ago but the work it needed against the price wasnt worth it. even jamie liked it, from the road.

I got my 2nd set of wheels and tires cleaned up and on today. They're not as perfect as the guy described. There's some curb rash on 2 of them and the outer edges of 2 tires are pretty worn and they're close to the wear bar. I also fixed my fender bow. The drivers side I got perfect but the passenger side was so bent up it broke the fender off one bolt and it's cracked around the other. I'm going to have to play with it more in the daylight and see if I can get it as nice as the driver side.
